Put Me in the Game, Coach.

Updated: Nov 28, 2021

Sometimes, life and careers can feel like a giant game designed to test the deepest of your convictions and values as an educator. And when it comes to feeling like you're playing with no coaching, sometimes you find yourself compromising things vital to a fulfilled and aligned career. That's where a coach comes in.

I've had a lot of coaches in my life.

See me here?

That's me.

Here too.

Yep, you get the picture. Sports were a BIG part of my life as a child and adolescent. And I have a whole blog post in me about the impact of each one of those coaches. But for now, I'm going to tell you about the impact of my current coaches (and if your coach doesn't have a coach, fire them).

My coaches have helped me transform from a people-pleasing-overachiever on a fast track to burnout in both career and life.

Into nothing less, and nothing more, than me.

And that is what I have to offer you today.

[Insert your favorite corny phrase about how the past couple of years have changed us all]

...but for me, the changes have come like a river.

After we all fell down the waterfall that was spring/summer 2020, my liferaft took another tumble through some rapids but found myself on a quiet stream with the time, tools, and the right teachers to help me build a sustainable framework for my career and life that is not unchanging. Still, it is based on a truth that I know is part of me to the depths of my soul.

I feel most aligned and fulfilled in my career when I create, when I learn, and when I educate.

So I'm happy to announce I will be sharing the lessons I've learned through my own experiences and the collaboration of other exceptional leaders and educators to bring Playful Acre Career Coaching.

My mission is to help educators and parents find their career-life happiness so that they can feel fulfilled at home, school, and work. I have almost 10 years of experience in the education and childcare field and have successfully started two companies which I run from home while raising my 4-year-old son. I understand the importance of authentic self-expression and intentional leadership for organizational success, especially when working with the most vulnerable populations in society: children and families.

Some of the most profound moments in life come when we are vulnerable. So when you come to me, I will give you space to be yourself and explore who you are. Together we will create a custom plan that addresses your needs and helps you gain clarity.
